On March 12, the management and staff at Alliance Bank’s Cape Girardeau Branch held a “retirement party” for Jeannie Boxdorfer (our part-time Receptionist). Whether you telephoned into the bank or dropped by in person, Jeannie’s friendly voice and desire to please often welcomed you.

As our Receptionist, Jeannie did much more than answer the telephone. For us, the Receptionist is a “key position” requiring knowledge, tact, and quick thinking. Multi-tasking and keeping focused on other duties while the phone is ringing is a challenge all in itself. Today Ashley Watkins and Beth Meyer are the voices that will greet you. Jeannie imparted to them the importance of giving a “personal touch” to those who visit Alliance Bank. Kevin Greaser, Community Bank President shared, “It was a privilege for us to work with Jeannie as she always brought a smile with her to the workplace and was committed to providing exceptional service to everyone she came in contact with on our behalf.”

We will miss Jeannie very much and so will our customers. But we realize now she will have more time to enjoy her grandchildren and engage in some volunteer work that she is passionate about. Jeannie, enjoy your new life! See you soon.
